We reached our fundraising goal of $1500 for the Canaccord Genuity Great Camp Adventure Walk for SickKids and now I want to go for $2000!
We are so blessed to have friends and family who have always been there to support our fundraising efforts, in Zack’s honour and I have often marveled at how so many people continue to give and donate to Zack’s Dream Team every single year!
For some, it’s because they loved him and this is a way to remember him and celebrate how he touched their lives.
Others, never knew him, but have been inspired by our story and feel compelled to give back.
And then there was my sister, who really got me crying this week, with her reason for giving to SickKids and Zack’s Dream Team, “Happy Birthday, Zackie” she said, as I thanked her for her generous donation. This was the gift she wasn’t able to give to him for his 8th birthday this year.
It’s not lost on me, that SickKids has their walk just a week after Jayden and Zack’s birthday and this year…perfect timing! Jayden will have a party with his buddies and we will send balloons to heaven, but we will also celebrate Zack’s 8th birthday and his life by walking with so many other brave families and kids on September 26th.

It’s not too late to join a team, create your own team, volunteer or donate to a team raising money for SickKids! Maybe you don’t have a connection to SickKids but you do have a house full of wonderfully healthy children. Making a donation is a lovely way to honour and celebrate that gift.
