Saying ‘thank you’ for a great year at school

Giving back is one of my favourite things about being a mom- it’s an opportunity to teach my boys creative ways to show your appreciation for others.

SickKids Foundation has always been the place for me to find creative gifts for all holidays.  This year, I chose to honour Jayden’s sweet teacher with a donation of Arts and Craft supplies for the kids in the hospital.  When I asked Jayden his favourite part about school, he mentioned doing artwork.  So, this seemed like the natural choice!  There are various price ranges and options of books, games, and scrapbooking.  I made up the certificate above, and I’m going to put it in a frame for her. As a bonus, not only does this make you feel so great- you get a tax receipt!

Jayden has had a fabulous year in JK, with the dream teacher!  We had wished for her to be the one to inspire and motivate our silly little boy.  He can have some interesting moods, but Mrs. G found a way to turn his “grumpies” into a laugh, with a little tickle or silly face.

We are so grateful to her for understanding our little boy, encouraging him to learn and grow and always being sensitive to his mentions of Zack.

Looking forward to another great year in SK!

Also, it could only require a little over three years to complete.
