This time of year, right after Halloween, begins the holiday season, Christmas parties and shopping for the perfect gifts.
I have two special little people in mind this holiday who will be getting the Big Hugs Elmo from us. While I sure do wish that it was under our own tree for Zack, I will give this gift, in his honour to special people in our lives. I will also be donating one to our local hospital, so that it can reside with Zack’s Dream Room!
Zack’s last Christmas was an “Elmo” Christmas- I had bought it all- a new doll, bedding and pillow. In fact, it was Christmas in 2009 that started the Elmo obsession in our house. “Santa” bought Jayden the Elmo doll, but it was Zackie that took a shine to him that day! They literally switched gifts about a month after Christmas! That’s when Elmo became part of our family. The memories we have comfort us even today.
One of the most amazing things about Elmo is that he crosses all boundaries of race, colour, religion, politics. He’s just about love. That’s universal. And Big Hugs Elmo is a PTPA Award Winner! Seriously, who doesn’t love getting hugs? I was actually blown away by the answers on last month’s contest about a special hug. Big Hugs Elmo loves getting hugs, but he really loves giving them! After getting a hug from Elmo, little ones can pretend along with him, and even dance, sing, nap, and cuddle with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street pal!
Don’t say I didn’t warn you about Elmo’s cuteness!
NEW HOLIDAY CONTEST!I’m so thrilled to be giving away another Big Hugs Elmo on this blog, just in time for the holidays!
Please comment below with the reason that YOU love Elmo (include your email addy or link to your personal FB page so I can contact you!)!

Disclaimer: I’m so thrilled to share my love of Elmo as one of the Big Hugs Elmo Ambassadors with PTPA. I’ve been compensated for writing this post, but the truth is….I would have done it for nothing!

November 19, 2013 at 5:33 pm (11 years ago)To be honest, I love elmo b/c of all the fond memories that I have of him and the sesame street gang as a child. I love watching my 18 month old girlie love him just as much. I love having a common link and sharing the same love she has for Elmo. Besides, who wouldn’t love an elmo that hugs you back?! Can we say totally awesome toy this christmas?! email: bwpn @ rocketmail.com
