You don’t need to know anything about basketball to have a great family night at the Globetrotters! Thanks to PTPA, our family attended a recent game at the Hershey’s Centre in Mississauga and had the best time at the game, meeting the players and even engaging with them on social media!
As a social media enthusiast, I love to see how real life can be integrated with online fun and “Fans Rule” is exactly that! Before you head out to the game, fans can go to the Harlem Globetrotter’s website to vote on the rule that you and your kids want to see in your game (Make or Miss, Hot Hand Jersey, 6 on 5 and more!). Fans can impact the events of the game by voting!
I’ve been to two Globetrotters games with the kids and each time we are totally entertained. Not only do they play a really exciting game, they also take every opportunity to get the fans involved. Whether it’s races to dunk baskets, chasing a fan around the benches or even blindfolding a kid to win a prize, they do it all for families! The vibe of the whole night is good old-fashioned fun. The players dance, there are silly antics (like climbing on the basket) and even a mascot that made Ty laugh out loud!
Now, as if tickets to the event didn’t score me “cool mom” points, when I posted my photos on Instagram, they were liked by T-Time (the Globetrotter’s 10th female player), Doc and even Handles! Ty and Jayden were so impressed and amazed that the players reached out to us as their fans. The players seem genuinely excited to meet the fans and they look like they literally have the best job ever! How cool was that?
