Treasure Tuesday #2 (#TreasureTuesday)

Remember when I created this new twist on Wordless Wednesday just last week?  This is my way of finding old filed away photos of my beautiful family and sharing them- preserving the memory, telling the story in the photo and sharing something special with my friends.

Today’s Treasure Tuesday is this photo from April 2008 (Jayden and Zackie were 7 months old).  We were at Great Wolf Lodge with our friends for the weekend and I think it was our first hotel room with 3 kids!

I loved watching the two boys and making them laugh as they faced me in the snap and go.  I used to like keeping my eye on Zack, as he had been experiencing seizures that left him grey and lifeless.  One visit to Fairview Mall with the boys had ended in the paramedics coming to help me resuscitate him.  When we moved to a side by side twin stroller, it was really hard not to watch these sweet faces and trust that Zack would be safe.

I loved dressing the boys in matching clothes and would buy them two sizes smaller for Zackie, but still matching.  It was funny to then have him inherit the larger size when Jayden outgrew it.  It might seem silly, but one of the things I looked forward to most, when I found out I was having twins, was that I could dress them alike.  When they were born and so incredibly different, not even really “peers” at all, the one thing I could do to identify them as twins, was to have them wear matching clothes.  I miss that.

Look at his open heart surgery scar.  Badge of honour.

So, I challenge YOU (yes, you), to search your digital files and share them on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or even on your blog, with the hashtag #TreasureTuesday!

Could be a photo from your past, someone who is no longer living, your kids as babies, your hubby when he was 50lbs lighter, anything!

Show your friends and family what photo treasure you have found and celebrate that memory!  I dare you!
